American Dervish

This is a wonderful, sad, and moving novel about a Pakistani boy growing up in the midwest in the 1980s.  Hayat Shah and his family struggle with faity, identity, and belonging in a world where answers and morality are far from simple.  I listened to the audiobook and highly recommend it as the reader does an excellent job voicing the different characters.
