Don't Just "Google" It!

A quick Google search can sometimes find just what you need, but it is not necessarily the right way to go. Here are some reasons to use the Grand County Library District's online resources for browsing, homework assignments or general research:

  • GCLD subscribes to a number of databases. Online resources give access to an electronic knowledge base that assists with our community’s learning and research and, all are hand-picked by librarians.
  • Access to newspaper and magazine articles, literary criticism, business information, art & music resources and much more. Explore the many ways the library can help you find the answers you need. Remote access to some of these databases is restricted to GCLD card holders. Enter your 13-digit library card number for access when prompted.
  • Filter by title (alphabetical) or subject. Each resource has a short description with helpful information and a logo so you can remember your favorites.
  • Check back often as we will be adding new online resources to help you find credible information.

You will find links to homework help, consumer information, health and finance information. There are many more to chose from. Have a look!

Look for our online resources under the "Books and More" tab at the top of the page. Or, check out the rotating featured online resource at the top right hand side of our home page.
