Download eBooks Directly to Your Device

Some mobile devices allow you to download directly from OverDrive to your device without requiring a computer. These include any devices running:

Quick Start Guide for Kindle Fire

What you need

How it works

Use the browser on the Kindle Fire to go to the marmot.lib.overdrive.com website.
Sign in to your account with your library card number (to see OverDrive Advantage titles).
Find a Kindle book, Add to Book Bag, Proceed to Checkout, Confirm Checkout and click Get for Kindle.
Once you are redirected to the Amazon.com website, click Get Library Book (make sure you select the correct device).
Click Download Now.
Sync your Kindle Fire.
Once you deliver a library book to your Kindle or Kindle reading app, it reads just like any other Kindle Book.

Quick Start Guide for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

How it works

Download the free OverDrive Media Console app from the App Store (an Apple ID is required to download apps).
Open the OverDrive Media Console app.
Click on Get Books+ and Add a Website. Enter Grand County Library District or your zip to find our digital library (Marmot Library Network).
Select Marmot Library Network.
Sign in to OverDrive with your library card number (to see OverDrive Advantage titles).
Find an EPUB book, Add to Book Bag, Proceed to Checkout, Confirm Checkout and click Download.
If you haven't yet signed up for a free Adobe.com username and password, you will be asked to do so.
When you download an eBook, your selection will open automatically in OverDrive's mobile app.
