Jeremy moved to Grand County from Flagstaff, AZ, in late 2018, to become the Program Director (now Executive Director) of Colorado Headwaters Land Trust, based in Granby. His first job out of college (University of Maryland, 2013) was as a seasonal backcountry steward in the Adirondack Mountains, where he grew up backpacking and first honed his passion for the backcountry and natural resource conservation. In 2014 Jeremy moved to Arizona to work on a cattle ranch outside of Flagstaff. In 2015 he was hired as program manager of Diablo Trust, a collaborative ranching conservation nonprofit, dedicated to the holistic sustainability of nearly 500,000 acres of private and public ranchlands in northern Arizona. Wanting to see more of the West and learn more about conservation in the field, Jeremy looked to Colorado. Colorado provides both an opportunity to live in the mountains and to stay out West, and Grand County is the ideal community in which he can live and learn for many years to come.  Jeremy is an avid reader, enjoying texts of all genres, from Westerns to political memoirs and from noir fantasy to ecological analyses. He actively encourages his friends to read, including partaking in online and community book exchanges; in Flagstaff he also ran a successful book club ("Good Reads for the Western Life") through his organization, which was passed to the local library system after he left for Colorado. Jeremy is invested in his local community and strives to better himself through active engagement and collaboration with his neighbors, and he looks forward to making a positive impact on the Grand County Library District Board of Trustees. Jeremy enjoys backpacking, running, hiking, playing music, reading, writing, and hanging out with his cat.
